Hallie Q. Brown Community Center is housed in the Martin Luther King Service Center, and serves as the administrator for this neighborhood facility. Community groups and nonprofit organizations use the space for meetings, trainings, programs, cultural events and special projects. The Martin Luther King Center is also the permanent home for a number of local nonprofit and community agencies, including the Penumbra Theatre, NAACP and Project Cheer.
