Mother’s day
HQB hosts our annual Spring Tea event with our Golden Agers women's elder group. This is an event meant to encourage and uplift our women and matriarchs as they are served by young men in the community and enjoy hot tea and live music.
BROTHERS OF RONDO
We celebrate the stories of men and patriarchs of our lineage. Our partners at MNHS produced a documentary the covered the educational and community journey of some Rondo kids who went on to integrate a college and leveraged their community identity and experiences to create a lasting impact in college and returned home to push progress for their own people. HQB hosted a community discussion and special screening as an anchor space in the story.
