Keeping our shelves stocked with food is an ongoing challenge. Within just a few weeks of the March Campaign — our largest food drive of the year — supplies dwindled by one half. Fortunately, Hallie Q. Brown received a large delivery of 3,400 lbs. of food from a Second Harvest Heartland truck this Wednesday. The delivery was on behalf of the National Association of Letter Carriers (NALC), which collected donations from Twin Cities residents last Saturday as part of its 19th annual Stamp Out Hunger food drive.
Thank you to NALC, Second Harvest Heartland, and to the hardworking volunteers who helped us unload and sort food!
